At Partner Real Estate, we believe that staying ahead of industry changes is key to serving our clients with excellence. This afternoon, our General Manager, Anita Witecki, led an exclusive workshop for our Partner Real Estate associates and Transaction Coordinators team, bringing everyone together both in-person and virtually via Zoom for an important training session on the California Residential Purchase Agreement (RPA-CA) and related forms.
Why This Training Matters
The RPA is the cornerstone of every real estate transaction in California. With major updates scheduled for December 2025 and several new emergency forms launched in September 2025 by the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, this workshop provided timely, essential instruction to ensure our team remains fully prepared to navigate the evolving real estate landscape.
New Approaches & Updates
In an unprecedented move, the California Association of REALTORS® released one new form and four revised forms ahead of the usual December cycle. Highlights include:
- Federal Reporting Requirement Purchase Addendum (FRRPA): Expands federal reporting rules to cover more property types and situations, requiring both buyers and sellers to comply for escrow to close after December 1, 2025.
- Multiple Listing Service Addendum (MLSA): Reorganized to align with the latest NAR Clear Cooperation Policy, consolidating seller instructions into one clear section.
- Revised Forms: Updated with jurisdictional warnings following a California Appellate Court ruling, affecting the Notice to Quit Instructions (NTQ), Notice to Cure (PCQ), and Notice to Pay Rent or Quit (PRQ).
These updates reflect shifting compliance and legal requirements that directly impact how real estate transactions are structured and closed.
Empowering Our Team for Success
During the workshop, Anita provided step-by-step instruction on completing the RPA and related forms, detailed guidance on the latest updates, and practical insights to help our team better serve clients. Participants walked away with greater confidence in handling:
- Preparing and responding to offers using the RPA.
- Completing required disclosures accurately.
- Managing transactions from creation through closing.
- Addressing legal questions and protecting client interests.
